The ONLY guide specifically designed for high-pivot and similar suspension layouts with high chain growth. Silence and efficiency are the key benefits of this all-new chainguide. It featues our new S5 roller with 14 mini-teeth to keep it spinning smoothly in all conditions. The large diameter roller reduces the articulation angle of the chain, which yields better efficiency and feel than typical, small guide pulleys.

CONFIRMED FIT LIST:

  • Forbidden Druid
  • Forbidden Dreadnought
  • Cannondale Jekyll
  • GT Force

55mm Chainline: 7 mm of spacers + backset distance to ISCG05 tabs (if any)

Backplate Position

The MXg should be put in an ideal position to provide chain guidance, minimize chain growth, and have an adequate clearance from frame and impacts. The backplate has mount position windows laser etched onto the rear ISCG05 slot.Find your frame and install the MXg accordingly:

  • Cannondale Jekyll: Position B
  • Devinci Chainsaw: Position D
  • Devinci Spartan HP: Position D
  • Forbidden Dreadnought: Position B
  • Forbidden Druid (V1 and V2) Position A
  • GT Force: Position B

If you have an MXg without mount position mapping, reference the image above for approximate positioning.

Rotate the guide counterclockwise as needed to ensure there is  8-10 mm of clearance between the top of the roller and the chainstay. The center of MXg roller should never sit below the BB to rear axle centerline while the bike is in a static position. Rollers positioned too low run the risk of being impacted and/or damaged while riding. Tighten the mounting screws to 4-6 Nm.

Chain Installation

If installing the MXg on an existing drivetrain, a longer chain is likely required. To size the chain appropriately, we recommend you remove the spring or air pressure from the rear shock and compress the suspension fully. With the suspension compressed, route the chain over the largest rear cog, over the chainring, and up and over the MXg’s pulley. Then bring the two halves together. This length, plus two chain segments (one inner link and one outer link) should result in an appropriately size chain. For more information on chain sizing, consult Park Tool.

S5 Roller

Our new S5 roller uses 14 mini-teeth to keep it spinning smoothly in all conditions. The large diameter roller reduces the articulation angle of the chain, which yields better efficiency and feel than typical, small guide pulleys.
