Steve Peat suffered an ankle injury over the weekend. With the World Champs coming up at Fort William, needless to say this is a devestating blow. We wish you a speedy recovery Steve and hope you’ll be up and ready for Worlds on your home turf! Get well soon!

A couple weeks have passed, and another race is in the books. I hit up Snowmass for “Blast the Mass” a stop on the Mountain States Cup series last weekend. The track is amazing, it’s real downhilling for sure. Wide open, super rough ski run gnar on the top, and techy woods at the bottom. My 2007 Yeti 303 absolutely ate it up. There was a larger than average pro field, with a lot of California boys making the stop on their way to US Nationals in Vermont coming up. I ended up in 27th place out of almost 50 pros, not bad but the top 10 is where I like to be.
I’ve been testing a totally new chainguide, and it’s working great! This makes the third race that I’ve used it, and it’s been flawless. It is designed with the racer in mind, it’s super light weight tough as nails, and it utilizes one of our patented design elements which makes it totally unique. Look for pictures after Crankworx!

The Keystone G3 went very well, I ended up in 7th place overall, 2 spots out of the money. Maybe next time. My good friend and MRP sponsored racer Kain Leonard continues his show of dominance in the Rocky Mountain region, as he took 3rd overall behind Justin Leov and Jared Graves.

I just spent the weekend in Keystone for the first of the Rocky Mountain G3 race series. It was awesome! For those who don’t know, it is a gravity stage race consisting of 2 downhill races and 1 super-d. Timing was done with chips, and everything went smoothly! Props to Bigfoot Productions for putting on a unique event with a big pro purse. Can’t wait for the next one at Sol Vista! After rolling my ankle pretty badly in practice friday, it looked like I wasn’t going to race at all this weekend. But, after a good tape job by the medics, I decided to give it a go. I was pretty conservative, not wanting to put any load on my ankle, and I actually had a good go of it. Final GC standing are not up yet, but I’ll keep you posted. I didn’t quite make it into the money, but came pretty close. It turned out way better than not racing at all! More to come…….
